Gunung Geulis Country Club

A brief introduction

Gunung Geulis Country Club, located in the hills of Bogor, is one of Indonesia’s most scenic golf destinations — a true highland golfing retreat surrounded by natural valleys, rolling ridges, and cool breezes. The name “Gunung Geulis” translates to “Beautiful Mountain,” and it is a fitting description of the sweeping vistas and lush landscape that define this 36-hole venue.

The property is divided into two distinct 18-hole courses: the East Course and the West Course, each offering a unique style of play. The East Course features a more strategic, parkland-style layout with tree-lined fairways, precise approach shots, and beautiful green complexes. The West Course, meanwhile, showcases dramatic elevation changes, ridgeline holes, panoramic mountain views, and an exciting mix of risk–reward opportunities.

Both courses are known for their engaging layouts and memorable hole designs, making Gunung Geulis a favorite among golfers seeking variety and challenge in a single destination. With cooler temperatures and open highland terrain, it is also a refreshing escape from Jakarta’s busy lowlands, offering a more relaxed golf atmosphere.

The clubhouse sits atop a hill, offering a commanding view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Inside, you’ll find a well-appointed restaurant, comfortable locker rooms, a pro shop, and warm service from a friendly golf team. The practice facilities — including a driving range and short-game area — support both warm-ups and instruction.

With its vast landscape, twin-course layout, and resort-style ambiance, Gunung Geulis Country Club stands out as one of Bogor’s most enjoyable multi-course golf complexes — ideal for groups, getaways, and golfers seeking a highland setting with personality and character.

What makes Gunung Geulis truly memorable is its natural flow — the courses feel like they belong to the land rather than being built on top of it. Add in cooler temperatures, a welcoming team, and relaxing highland scenery, and you have one of Bogor’s most enjoyable golfing experiences, especially for group travelers seeking scenic, laid-back rounds.
